XP Games News is an independent website about three closely related kinds of single-player games: open-world action-adventure series such as Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs and Marvel’s Spider-Man; stealth games such as Hitman, Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, Thief and Dishonored; and single-player campaign shooters, from Halo, Call of Duty and Doom campaigns to BioShock and Half-Life.
We are not a breaking-news site. We publish evergreen guides and explainers: play orders, series histories, how core systems work and where to start. When something depends on a specific game version or release, we say which one. We focus on story and campaign play, so you will not find multiplayer or competitive coverage here.
